Lightly fixed human epidermoid carcinoma cells (A431) stained with biotinylated epidermal growth factor (EGF) complexed to Texas Red® streptavidin (E3480). An identical cell preparation stained in the presence of a 100-fold excess of unlabeled EGF (E3476) showed no fluorescent signal.
