293-H cells are GIBCO brand cells. These are clonal isolates derived from transformed human embryonal kidney (HEK) cells. The 293-H strain is a variant of the 293 cell line that demonstrates better adherence in monolayer culture and ease of use for plaque assays and other anchorage dependent applications. They have been adapted to suspension culture in serum-free media, 293 SFM II.
