SuperScript® Reverse Transcriptase
Over the past decade Life Technologies, through a performance-based evolution of SuperScript® Reverse Transcriptase, has developed a range of RT enzymes designed to meet the growing need for more sensitive, thermostable, and reliable RT enzymes. Robust performance at high temperatures can improve reverse transcription of RNA with persistent secondary structure and specificity of RT. Reverse transcriptase enzymes with reduced RNase H activity produce more full-length cDNA and provide greater gene product representation than enzymes with wild-type levels of RNase H activity. The SuperScript® family of RT enzymes incorporates all of these attributes; by providing higher yields of full-length cDNA for more complete representation of input RNA compared to standard reverse transcriptases. SuperScript® RTs have been engineered for higher levels of thermostability and a longer half-life at 50°C. If you need maximum sensitivity for real time RT-PCR and microarray experiments, and cDNA that represents input RNA with maximum fidelity, you need SuperScript® RT. |
