Elution of the streptavidin - biotin bond
| The interaction between streptavidin and biotin is formed very rapidly. Once formed, the interaction is unaffected by wide extremes of pH, temperature, organic solvents and other denaturing agents. We have a Dynabeads Streptavidin TRIAL KIT with 1 ml of each bead-type, so you can try them out with your own application. |
The table below describes some typical elution efficiencies of the biotin-streptavidin interaction under a variety of elution conditions. Please note that the elution efficiencies described are for free biotin, and might differ from that of a biotinylated specific ligand.
