Elution of the streptavidin - biotin bond

The interaction between streptavidin and biotin is formed very rapidly. Once formed, the interaction is unaffected by wide extremes of pH, temperature, organic solvents and other denaturing agents.

We have a Dynabeads Streptavidin TRIAL KIT with 1 ml of each bead-type, so you can try them out with your own application.
The table below describes some typical elution efficiencies of the biotin-streptavidin interaction under a variety of elution conditions. Please note that the elution efficiencies described are for free biotin, and might differ from that of a biotinylated specific ligand.
