Donkey Secondary Antibody Conjugates With Qdots

Qdot®-conjugated antibodies are exceptionally bright and photostable. Donkey anti-mouse, donkey anti-rabbit, and donkey anti-goat conjugates are now provided in the six most commonly used colors: Qdot® 525, Qdot® 565, Qdot® 585, Qdot® 605, Qdot® 625, and Qdot® 655. Qdot®probes are photostable fluorescent particle which, unlike even the best organic fluorescent dyes, do not photobleach over time.

  • Brightness—as much as 50 times brighter than organic dyes
  • Photostability—no photobleaching, unlike organic dyes
  • Multiplexing capability—six colors, from Qdot® 525 to Qdot® 655

Oxidative Stress: General ROS Detection

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are an inevitable consequence in aerobic organisms an imbalance between the production of ROS and the ability of cells to scavenge them results in the damage associated with aging, atherosclerosis, carcinogenesis, reperfusion injury and neuorodegenerative disorders.

CellROX® Reagents are novel fluorogenic probes for measuring oxidative stress in live cells. They can be used with various platforms, such as fluorescence microscopy, high content screening (HCS), flow cytometery, and microplate-based fluorimetry as well as benchtop platforms such as the Attune® Cytometer and the Floid® Cell Imaging Station.

Oxidative Stress: Lipid Peroxidation

Lipid peroxidation generally refers to the oxidative degradation of cellular lipids by reactive oxygen species. Peroxidation of unsaturated lipids affects cell membrane properties, signal transduction pathways, apoptosis, and the deterioration of foods and other biological compounds. Lipid peroxidation may play a role in aging, as well as pathological processes such as drug-induced phototoxicity and atherosclerosis, and it is often the cause of free radical–mediated damage in cells. The Image-iT® Lipid Peroxidation Kit enables ratiometric fluorescence imaging of lipid peroxidation in live cells, while Click-iT® LAA (Linoleamide alkyne) enables the measurement of lipid peroxidation in fixed cells using a wide variety of platforms.

Phagocytosis & Endocytosis

Phagocytosis and endocytosis are the processes by which cells internalize materials from biomolecules to micro-organisms. They are important cellular activities in functions from basic maintenance to immune response.  Indicators for studying phagocytosis and endocytosis include BioParticles, bacteria and yeast labeled with fluorescent dyes such as pHrodo, and fluorescent proteins that monitor vesicle formation. Because the vesicle pH changes during the phagocytic process, sensitive pH indicators are useful to monitor stages in the pathway.

To label your own molecule with pHrodo red or Green pHrodo™ use STP esters or maleimides of our unique fluorogenic pH indicators and label protein or any amine- or thiol-containing biomolecule. The addition of pHrodo™ green indicators expands the multiplexing capabilities of this technology for the study of many membrane internalization processes.
