Robust cDNA synthesis with SuperScript® III Reverse Transcriptase

A critical component of gene expression research is achieving robust cDNA synthesis. Suboptimal reverse transcriptase reactions can lead to low yields of cDNA or truncated cDNA. With SuperScript® III Reverse Transcriptase, which has been engineered for higher thermostability, provides higher yields of full length cDNA for complete gene expression.

Choosing the correct reverse transcriptase (RT) for cDNA synthesis is critical to obtaining high yields of quality full length cDNA that accurately represents the input RNA. Robust performance at high temperatures performance can improve reverse transcription of RNA with persistent secondary structure and specificity of RT using gene-specific primers. SuperScript® III Reverse Transcriptase is widely used for cDNA synthesis, due to its proven ability to enable consistently high yields of fully representative, full length cDNA. The SuperScript® VILO™ reverse transcriptase is designed to increase cDNA yields and improve the dynamic range of your real time RT-PCR assays. Excellent linearity in your RT step means you will obtain the same relative representation in your cDNA qPCR template, regardless of gene abundance during normalization, get both your gene of interest and the reference gene in a linear phase for cDNA synthesis even if their abundances differ in the starting material get greater accuracy in your qRT-PCR data by reducing this common bias.
