Positive Isolation of Monocytes Directly From Blood

Cell isolation directly from whole blood or buffy coat saves time, reduces costs, and minimizes manipulations compared to isolation via PBMC. Gentle Dynabeads® FlowComp™ technology allows for release and removal of the beads from the cells after isolation. CD14+ monocytes show 96–99% purity, high recovery, and increased viability compared to PBMC isolation. Functional responses are kept intact in subsequent experiments, and the cells can be used in any downstream assay, including monocyte-derived dendritic cells (Mo-DC) or cytokine release.

Versatile and Flexible HulaMixer™ Sample Mixer

The multipurpose HulaMixer™ helps mix practically any sample in any tube. It can rotate in three ways: orbital (end-over-end), reciprocal (tilting), and vibration (vortex). The HulaMixer™ is flexible, intuitive, and easy to operate. Adjust the speed (1–100 rpm), time, and movement combinations to match your changing needs. Copper-Free DIBO Alternatives for Detecting Azide-Modified Proteins With Click Chemistry

Classic click chemistry involves the copper-catalyzed triazole formation from an azide and an alkyne. In certain situations, copper can be cytotoxic, reduce or eliminate the fluorescence of Qdot® nanocrystals and fluorescent proteins, and reduce activity of certain enzymes. Our new Click-iT® DIBO reagents now offer a means of achieving click reactions without copper for detection of azide-modified proteins. Nine new Click-iT® products are available, including DIBO derivatives of Alexa Fluor®, TAMRA, and biotin labels, and reactive probes capable of modifying amine, cysteine, and carboxy groups.

APEX® Alexa Fluor® 568 and Biotin-XX Labeling Kits

APEX® Antibody Labeling Kits provide a convenient means of directly labeling a small amount of IgG antibody (10–20 µg) with a fluorescent molecule or biotin-XX. The kits use a solid-phase labeling technique that captures the IgG antibody on the resin inside the APEX® antibody labeling tip in as little as 2.5 hours. Additional kits for Alexa Fluor® 568 and biotin-XX antibody labeling are now available.
