FGF Basic Impacts BMP-4–Induced Differentiation
| This paper also showed evidence for the involvement of downstream signaling markers MEK and ERK and transcription factor NANOG. The implication of the work is that NANOG (and by extension FGF Basic) not only plays a role not only in maintaining the pluripotent state of stem cells, but may also play a role in lineage outcomes.

Osteonectin Promotes Endoderm Differentiation and Cardiomyogenesis in Early Embryogenesis
| The effects of SPARC include expression of cardiac marker genes including BMP-2. During the expansion of the peripheral endoderm, thicker layers of extracellular matrix (ECM) develop, and SPARC continues to drive differentiation by regulating the molecular composition of the ECM with collagen and laminin organization in the mesenchymal parietal endoderm. ABfinity™ recombinant monoclonal antibodies are ideal reagents for signaling pathway research. The ABfinity™ technology helps ensure consistent antibody performance so you don’t have to re-optimize your assay with each new lot.

Qtracker® and CellTracker™ Reagents for Tracing Hematopoietic Stem Cells
| These reagents provide a stable signal that can be traced through several generations, and the label is not transferred to neighboring cells in the population. | marrow hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) and gain a foothold in the organism are now available. In their experiments (J Clin Invest 121:1298 (2011)), the researchers used Qtracker® reagents for in vivo tracking of HSC and CellTracker™ reagents for in vitro tracking of osteoblast/HSC/PCa cell cocultures. Their data suggest that PCa cells directly compete with HSC in the bone marrow, which could play a role in metastasis.

Zenon® Labeling Reagents for the Study of Stem Cell Differentiation
| Zenon® primary antibody complexes produce low backgrounds and are stable enough for cell sorting. | When labeling delicate samples, such as isolated prefrontal cortex nuclei, speed and labeling specificity are critical factors. Antibody labeling using Zenon® labeling technology is ideal for these types of investigations.
