miRNA & Noncoding RNA Microarrays
![]() | Whether you profile miRNAs using self printed arrays or pre-printed arrays, the NCode™ platform allows you to comprehensively screen most known miRNA molecules for the most studied species. Enjoy the advantages of a leading preprinted miRNA profiling microarray or gain the flexibility of probe set and controls for array fabrication in your lab. |
Pre-Printed Microarrays
Life Technologies offers two leading pre-printed miRNA arrays:
NCode™ Human miRNA Microarray Kit V3 - NEW
This new array consists of Corning® epoxide-coated glass slides printed with optimized probe sequences targeting nearly all of the known human miRNAs in the Sanger miRBase Sequence Database, Release 10.0, plus 373 putative novel human miRNAs. Each microarray slide comes fully blocked and ready to use.
NCode™ Multi-Species miRNA Microarray Kit V2
This array consists of five Corning® epoxide-coated glass slides, each printed with optimized probe sequences targeting all of the known mature miRNAs in the Sanger miRBase Sequence Database, Release 9.0, for human, mouse, rat, D. melanogaster, C. elegans, and Zebrafish. Each microarray slide comes fully blocked and ready to use.
Using the NCode™ miRNA microarrays you can expect:
- Confidence in your results with arrays are spotted in triplicate with positive and negative controls throughout for monitoring hybridization specificity, include dye normalization
- Increased sensitivity from maximum hybridization intensities
- Easy normalization of signal intensities during scanning using Alexa Fluor® dye control probes
- Detect and identify miRNAs conserved in other species that have not yet been validated for your model system in the same experiment
Microarray Probes
The NCode™ Multi-Species miRNA Microarray Probe Set V2 consists of oligonucleotides complementary to known and predicted microRNA (miRNA) sequences for human, mouse, rat, D. melanogaster, C. elegans, and Zebrafish. These species-specific, unmodified oligonucleotides are 34–44 bases in length, and target all of the miRNA species in Sanger mirBase Release 9.0 for human, mouse, rat, Drosophila, C. elegans, and zebrafish. The probes enable simple and efficient profiling of miRNA expression patterns using commercially available microarray substrates, instruments and software.
Using the NCode™ Multi-Species miRNA Microarray Probe Set V2, you can expect:
- Normalized melting temperatures for uniform hybridization
Microarray Controls
The NCode™ Multi-Species miRNA Microarray Control V2 is a synthetic 22-nucleotide miRNA sequence that has been designed as a positive control for use with the NCode™ Multi-Species miRNA Microarray system. This control sequence has been screened for no detectable cross-hybridization or interference with endogenous miRNAs from model organisms. Use this control in conjunction with the NCode™ Rapid miRNA Labeling System and NCode™ microarrays and probe sets to assess the efficiency of array labeling and hybridization. The NCode™ Multi-Species miRNA Microarrays and Probe Sets include oligonucleotide probes that are complementary to this control.
