Template Automation

The Ion OneTouch™ 2 System, available now, provides full automation from prepared library to template-positive Ion Sphere™ particles. The Ion Chef™ System,* expected to be available in the first half of 2013, will be ideal for those with higher-throughput needs and is designed to automate the workflow from prepared library to fully loaded Ion semiconductor sequencing chips.

Both of these benchtop systems will be able to support the Ion PGM™ and Ion Proton™ semiconductor sequencing chips and require only minutes of hands-on time. Both are designed to enable parallel processing of template preparation and sequencing on the Ion PGM™ or Ion Proton™ System to maximize productivity and minimize time-to-results for your projects.

Ion OneTouch™ 2 System

  • Fully automated solution—automates the template preparation process from prepared libraries to template-positive Ion Sphere™ particles in a single system
  • Simple to use—touch -screen–based interface requires only minutes of hands-on time
  • Scalable—modular design supports multiplexed samples on all Ion semiconductor sequencing chips

Ion Chef™ System*

Ion Chef System
  • Twice the productivity—processing of two Ion semiconductor sequencing chips per run
  • Extended automation—automates the template preparation process from prepared libraries to loaded Ion semiconductor sequencing chips

Library Automation

AB Library Builder™ System

  • Fully automated—designed to minimize labor associated with library preparation by reducing hands-on time by more than 50% compared to manual methods
  • Scalable throughput—capable of automating the preparation of up to 13 DNA or RNA libraries in a single run, yielding up to 39 libraries a day
  • Integrated solution—plug-and-play reagents and predesigned software combine with capabilities for both library preparation and for sample extraction using iPrep™ Kits
