Invitrosol™
| Remove non-compatible detergents and improve data quality using Invitrosol™ protein solubilizers Invitrosol™ LC/MS and Invitrosol™ MALDI Protein Solubilizers. These MS compatible solubilizers are simple to use products, tailor-made to rid your samples of detergents that are incompatible with MS analysis. Avoid protein precipitation, and improve data quality. |
Optimized for LC/MS analysis, Invitrosol™ LC/MS Protein Solubilizer greatly improves data quality by removing detergents that are incompatible with MS ionization techniques (e.g., CHAPs, Triton-X, SDS, etc.). Invitrosol™ LC/MS Protein Solubilizer is compatible with enzymatic proteolysis and improves statistical confidence in mass spectral results for hydrophobic proteins and peptides. Additionally, Invitrosol™ MS Protein Solubilizer does not interfere with your chromatography separations and does not contaminate LC/MS instrumentation.

Figure 1. Reverse-phase Chromatogram of cytochrome P450 tryptic digest in the presence of Invitrosol™ LC/MS Protein Solublizer.
Chromatographic separation of Cytochrome P450 2d6 tryptic digest in the presence of Invitrosol™ LC/MS Protein Solubilizer monitored as a total ion count trace by ESI-MS performed by C18 reverse-phase. The components of Invitrosol™ LC/MS Protein Solubilizer elute as three distinct major peaks (A,B,C) that are well separated from peptides. The dotted line represents the organic phase gradient.
Invitrosol™ MALDI Protein Solubilizer
With Invitrosol™ MALDI Protein Solubilizer, you can easily remove detergents or buffers that are not compatible with MALDI MS analysis (e.g. Triton X100, SDS, or Tris). The result is improved peak shape for better resolution and mass accuracy (Figure 3). Invitrosol™ MALDI Protein Solubilizer also improves sequence coverage for peptide mass fingerprinting analysis and, similar to Invitrosol™ LC/MS Protein Solubilizer, it also prevents protein precipitation and is compatible with enzymatic proteolysis.

Figure 3.
MALDI-TOF-MS analysis of BSA trypsin digests performed overnight in 1X Invitrosol™-MALDI Protein Solubilizer. Invitrosol™-MALDI Protein Solubilizer B markedly enhanced the number of BSA proteolytic fragments identified by MALDI MS. This effect is most evident in the higher mass region of the spectrum. BSA proteolytic fragments are identified by residues numbers in red type, green asterisks identify proteolytic fragments linked by a disulfide bridge.
