Rapidly Identify Targets of Small Molecules
Profile your radiolabeled, biotinylated, or fluorescently labeled small molecule against 9,000 functional proteins and identify possible targets with the ProtoArray® protein microarray. Since the identity of every protein on the ProtoArray® protein array is known, you can immediately identify any proteins that your molecule binds to. The protocol is very straightforward, and can also be adapted to look at target competition using unlabeled competitor molecules to verify target specificity.
Collectively, these features make the ProtoArray® Small Molecule Profiling application an ideal drug discovery tool for small molecules without clear modes of action. Researchers using the small molecule profiling application on the ProtoArray® human microarrays have been able to identify drug targets and understand their mechanisms of action [1-3].
