Pre-Designed TaqMan® Array MicroRNA Cards

The ideal solution for profiling large numbers of miRNAs.

  • The TaqMan® miRNA profiling workflow starts with a multiplex target-specific reverse transcription (RT) reaction in which up to 381 miRNAs and controls are reverse transcribed in a single reaction.
  • An optional pre-amplification step can be performed using Megaplex™ PreAmp Primers, which significantly increases the amount of cDNA in the sample for maximum sensitivity and detection.
  • Finally, TaqMan® Universal Master Mix II is added to each sample and the mixtures are pipetted into the loading ports of a 384-well TaqMan® Array MicroRNA Card containing TaqMan® MicroRNA Assays and run on an Applied Biosystems® ViiA™ 7 or 7900HT Fast Real-Time PCR System.

Comprehensive coverage of Sanger miRBASE v14 is enabled across a two-card set of TaqMan® Array Human MicroRNA Cards (Cards A and B) for a total of 754 unique assays specific to human miRNAs.

Comprehensive coverage of Sanger miRBASE v15 is enabled across a two-card set of TaqMan® Array Rodent MicroRNA Cards (Cards A and B) for a total of 641 and 373 unique assays, specific to mouse or rate miRNAs, respectively. This is made possible with Megaplex™ RT Primers, mixtures of up to 381 miRNA-specific stem-loop primers.
