Life Technologies Cell Therapy Industry Summit Sweepstakes Terms and Conditions

HOW TO ENTER: No purchase necessary to enter or win. To enter, register online for the Cell Therapy Industry Summit.  

ELIGIBILITY: Participation is open only to life science professionals 21 years and older who register and attend the Life Technologies Cell Therapy Industry Summit on November 3rd – 5th, 2010 at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa. Names of individuals who have registered will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of two 16GB iPads. One entry per person.  Void where prohibited, licensed, or restricted by federal, state, provincial, or local laws, regulations, or agency/institutional policy. Employees of Sponsor and its affiliates, as well as their immediate family members and household members, are not eligible. Determination of eligibility is at Sponsor’s sole discretion.  

DURATION: The Life Technologies Cell Therapy Industry Summit Sweepstakes starts July 1st and ends November 2nd, 2010.  Registrations must be received no later than November 2nd, 2010, 5:00 pm, PST.

WINNER: Two winners (each will be referred to as a “Winner”) will be randomly selected and each Winner will be announced at the Life Technologies Cell Therapy Industry Summit at approximately 10am November 4th, 2010 from all eligible entries received.  If a Winner is not present at the drawing, he or she will be notified by email, telephone, or mail within 14 days after the drawing date.  If a Winner is unreachable or does not make direct contact with the Sponsor by the date specified in the notification, or fails to accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.  Each Winner must execute and return an affidavit of eligibility and a liability release within 14 days of the date of notification.  If a Winner fails to do so, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries.  Each Winner must warrant that she or he is not prohibited by employment, contract, or law from entering the Sweepstakes or accepting a prize from the Sponsor.

PRIZE: Each Winner will receive one 16GB iPad (retail value approximately $499).   No cash or other substitutions are permitted, except by the Sponsor, which reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value. No refunds or credits are allowed.  Prize is not transferable.  All taxes on the prize and reporting thereof are the sole responsibility of each Winner.  

By entering the sweepstakes, each participant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
