Infectious Disease Testing

Choose AcroMetrix® controls to assist in monitoring the performance of nucleic acid test procedures for infectious diseases. Our whole-virus controls are formulated to mimic patient samples and are traceable to the World Health Organization (WHO) International Standard. Genotyping panels are intended for use in the identification of different genetic variants (genotypes) in viruses.

AcroMetrix® quantitative panels may be used to establish or verify performance specifications for accuracy, precision, reportable range, and analytical sensitivity and specificity.

The AcroMetrix® Inhibition Panel is a seven-member panel that provides quantified amounts of commonly recognized and accepted inhibitors, including heparin, lipids, bilirubin, and haemolyzed plasma. This panel can be used in a variety of ways, including assay validation, instrument evaluation, commercial and in-house assay characterization, and troubleshooting.

The EZValidation™ Online Tool is a comprehensive tool specifically for assisting in the validation and verification of molecular tests. It provides standard guideline choices for the laboratory to follow, calculates the number of reactions and quality control materials required, and applies statistical analysis to generate a final report to support user validation and verification of molecular tests.
