Blue Heron Bio’s proprietary gene design and synthesis platform, GeneMaker®, synthesizes simple to highly complex sequences ranging in size from 50 base pairs to 50,000 base pairs in length.

What is Gene Synthesis?

  • Gene synthesis from Invitrogen and Blue Heron Biotechnology is the process of chemically synthesizing  double-stranded, cloned, and fully sequenced DNA. Our custom gene synthesis services enable you to obtain virtually any desired genetic sequence cloned and ready for downstream applications. For cloning your sequence, select from Invitrogen’s Gateway® entry vector pDONR™221, Blue Heron Bio’s standard cloning vectors, or provide us with your own cloning vector.  You will receive a bacterial stab containing your synthesized gene and 5ug of purified plasmid.
