Bead Based Cell Separation Systems
Introduction to Dynabeads technology
Dynabeads® are the leading technology for magnetic separation and are recognized for their true uniformity and consistent physical and chemical properties, securing a unique level of reproducibility for your results. Some Dynabeads® are precoated with ligands for specific cell surface antigens, while other Dynabeads® are pre-coated with secondary antibodies against primary antibodies from various species or biotin, allowing you to easily construct a system to isolate cells using your primary antibody of choice.
Once the beads have captured the cells, place the tube in the convenient Dynal® Magnetic Particle Concentrator (Dynal® MPC™). Bound cells are quickly pulled to the tube wall, and the supernatant can be transferred to a new tube or discarded, depending on your chosen method.
Dynabeads® SSEA-4
Depletion of SSEA-4+ undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells in a differentiation assay.
Embryonic stem cells can be differentiated into neural-, mesenchymal- and hematopoietic stem cells. Dynabeads SSEA-4 is intended for the magnetic depletion of SSEA-4+ undifferentiated embryonic stem cells from a differentiated cell population to increase purity. The negatively isolated undifferentiated cells are bead- and antibody free and are suitable for any downstream application. The product can also be used to positively isolate the bead-bound SSEA-4+ cells, however, it is recommended to remove the Dynabeads after cell lysis prior to analysis.
Dynal® CD34 Progenitor Cell Selection System
A complete kit for isolating hematopoietic progenitor cells, the Dynal® CD34 Progenitor Cell Selection System is also compatible with flow cytometry. The bead-bound CD34+ cells are easily separated and then detached from the beads using the supplied DETACHaBEAD® solution.
