New Hu CD137 Conjugates for Flow Cytometry
What’s new?Four new conjugates are now available for the human CD137 marker. The mouse anti-human CD137 (4-1BB) monoclonal antibody (mAb) reacts with human CD137, which is expressed on dendritic cells, granulocytes, mast cells, T cells, and natural killer cells. CD137 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) family of co-stimulatory molecules; and it is involved in recruiting TNFR-associated factors (TRAF), in activating T cells (specifically maintaining the survival of activated, CD8 memory T cells), in suppressing of myelopoiesis, and in developing dendritic cells. Ex vivo studies show that stimulating CD137 promotes expansion of CD4+CD25+ T regulatory cells. Its ligand, 4-1BBL, is found on hematopoietic stem cells, myeloid progenitor cells, activated macrophages, and mature B cells. | ![]() Figure 1. Staining of 2-day ConA-stimulated normal human peripheral blood cells with an anti-human CD69-APC antibody and a mouse IgG1 kappa-PE isotype control (top) or Mouse anti-Human CD137 (4-1BB)-PE Monoclonal Antibody (bottom). Total viable cells were used for analysis. |
