 | Apoptosis (programmed cell death) is the genetically controlled ablation of cells during normal development. As with cell viability, no single parameter fully defines cell death in all systems; therefore, it is often advantageous to use several different approaches when studying apoptosis. Several methods have been developed to distinguish live cells from early and late apoptotic cells and from necrotic cells.
Invitrogen offers a broad selection of antibodies, reagents and kits for studying apoptosis. We have kits for multiparametric analysis, ELISAs for quantitating key targets, primary antibodies validated for flow cytometry, imaging, and western blot analysis.
