Direct Capture of Viral RNA/DNA

 Immoblize double-stranded DNA onto a substrate and easily convert this bound DNA into single-stranded DNA.  This single stranded DNA can now be utilized to capture, isolate and concentrate a target viral RNA/DNA from solution.  This method allows for the detection and preservation of intact viral RNA/DNA molecules from virus-containing tissues & fluids.
