The CellMask™ Plasma Membrane Stains allow fast and uniform labeling of the plasma membrane without the cell-type differences exhibited by lectins. These stains may be used as a segmentation tool for HCS (high-content screening), as well as to stain cellular plasma membranes for standard fluorescence microscopy. The stain survives fixation, but not permeabilization, so it is not suitable for experiments that also involve probing internal targets via antibodies.

The lipophilic probe, FM™ 4-64FX exhibits low fluorescence in water but fluoresces intensely upon binding the outer leaf of the plasma membrane providing discrete plasma membrane staining. The binding is rapid and reversible and "FX" denotes that this analog is fixable with aldehyde-based fixatives. It is also an excellent reagent for identifying actively firing neurons and for investigating the mechanisms of activity-dependent vesicle cycling.

Molecular Probes' proprietary Pro-Q Emerald 300 and Pro-Q Emerald 488 Glycoprotein Stain Kits provide the most advanced technology available for detection of glycoproteins in gels and on blots. Gel staining is rapid and very sensitive. In less than three hours, it is possible to detect as little as 300 pg of glycoprotein per band, depending on the degree of glycosylation, making these stains at least 50-fold more sensitive than standard fuchsin staining.

Novex® TBE Gels provide the highest resolution possible for analyzing restriction digests and PCR products. DNA fragments ranging from 10 to 3,000 base pairs are clearly resolved into sharp, tight bands. Novex® DNA Retardation gels are prepared with 0.5X TBE as the gel buffer. This is sufficient for good electrophoretic separation, yet low enough to promote DNA-protein interactions. Novex® TBE and DNA Retardation Gels are designed to run on the XCell SureLock ™ Mini-Cell. Formulation: Novex® TBE and DNA Retardation Gels are manufactured with high-purity tris base, boric acid, EDTA, acrylamide,...

The Violet Ratiometric Membrane Asymmetry Probe⁄Dead Cell Apoptosis Kit provides a simple and fast method for the detection of apoptosis with dead cell discrimination by flow cytometry. The Violet Ratiometric Membrane Asymmetry Probe, 4'-N,N-diethylamino-6-(N,N,N-dodecyl-methylamino-sulfopropyl)-methyl-3-hydroxyflavone (F2N12S), is a novel violet excitable dye for the detection of membrane asymmetry changes during apoptosis. The dye exhibits an excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) reaction resulting in a dual fluorescence with two emission bands corresponding to 530 nm and 585 ...
