Full Product Description
Cytokeratin (CK) filaments consist of a complex family of approximately 20 different cytokeratin polypeptides that provide structural integrity to epithelial cells. Our polyclonal pan-CK antibody showed no cross-reactivity to other filament types including vimentin, desmin, glial fibrillary acidic protein and neurofilament protein. This antibody can be used to discern whether a neoplasm originated from an epithelial or non-epithelial source, and also useful for the distinction of metastatic malignant tumors of epithelial origin. Positive tissue: Adenocarcinoma⁄skin⁄squamous carcinoma.
