The Pippin Prep™ Kit 2010 contains 10 disposable pre-cast, ethidium-free, 2% agarose gel cassettes and a reagent pack for use isolating DNA fragments in the 100 - 600 bp range. The gel cassettes have 5 lanes, allowing 4 samples to be run along with an external size standard. The reagent pack includes that external standard as well as loading solution and electrophoresis buffer. Pippen Prep™ Kits can be purchased separately and are available in three different formats.

Streamlined Pippin Prep™ System DNA Size Selection Process
The workflow for Pippin Prep™ DNA size selection consists of just a few simple steps: prepare the cassette, load 4 samples and 1 size standard into the 5 wells of the cassette using standard pipetters and tips, enter a base-pair target range via the software interface, and press "start". During the 1.5 hr run the DNA will be separated by size and collected into 45 µl fractions. Simply return at the end of the run and collect the fractions.
