High fidelity is achieved by a combination of Platinum® anti-Taq DNA polymerase antibodies that inhibit polymerase activity, providing an automatic "hot-start", and the proofreading (3´a5´ exonuclease activity) enzyme Pyrococcus species GB-D. The thermostable AccuPrime™ accessory proteins enhance specific primer-template hybridization during every cycle of PCR, preventing mispriming and enhancing PCR specificity and yield (Figure 1).
