Excellent Yield, Purity, and Viability of Recovered Cells Dynabeads® CD4 are uniform, superparamagnetic beads (4.5 µm diameter) that enable easy isolation of human CD4
+ cells directly from any sample. Dynabeads® CD4 beads are coated with a primary monoclonal antibody specific for the CD4 membrane antigen mainly expressed on human T helper cells. Dynabeads® CD4 bind to CD4
+ cells during a short incubation period in a tube, after which the bead-bound cells are then separated from unbound cells using a
magnet. This fast and gentle isolation method does not require the use of columns, and helps ensure high purity, recovery and viability of the isolated CD4
+ cells.
Ideal for Both Depletion and Positive Isolation for Downstream Molecular Assays Because of the powerful magnets used for separation, Dynabeads® CD4 can be used in viscous samples such as whole blood and bone marrow, thereby providing an efficient method for the depletion of CD4
+ cells in about 30 minutes. Dynabeads® CD4 will also afford excellent recovery of high-purity, viable cells for use in downstream studies; for example, those in which cells are to be lysed while still attached to beads, and nucleic acids or proteins further purified. Note that intact cells will not be released from these beads, so if you want to isolate CD4
+ cells for cell-based applications, or you need to check your samples with flow cytometry, use
