SKP2 (S-phase Kinase-associated Protein 2) belongs to the family of F-box proteins that interact with the Cyclin A-Cdk2 complex. In tumor tissues, SKP2 is expressed widely, such as colon mucinous carcinoma, gastric adenocarcinoma, breast cancer, melanoma, prostate adenocarcinoma, with particularly higher expression on lung adenocarcinoma, lung squamous carcinoma, squamous carcinoma of cervix, endometrial carcinoma, ovary serous carcinoma and leiomyosarcoma. A recent study suggests that SKP2 plays a role in oncogenesis and is involved in the pathogenesis of lymphomas. Positive tissue: Breast cancer
