GeneAmp® 10X PCR Buffer II is both magnesium ion free and gelatin free. A separate MgCl₂ solution is provided. When used together, GeneAmp® 10X PCR Buffer II and MgCl₂ solution offer more versatility in optimizing the magnesium ion concentration to achieve optimal PCR amplification with any specific set of primers and DNA template.
