Specific for BRD2

Bromodomain-containing protein 2 (BRD2) is protein kinase with 2 bromodomains that bind to acetylated lysine 12 of Histone H4. BRD2 plays a role in nucleosome assembly and chromatin remodelling. BRD2 associates with transcription complexes and hyperacetylated chromatin, and it plays a role in the regulation of transcription. BRD2 may also play a role in spermatogenesis or folliculogenesis and juvenile epilepsy.
