Interleukin 12 (Interleukin 12A And Interleukin 12B Heterodimer) (IL12A and IL12B), recombinant human protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in protein studies such as protein structure analysis and protein-protein interactions. In general, recombinant proteins can also be used as an immunogen, as a protein standard, or in cell biology research applications.

This recombinant heterodimer protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the p35 subunit of human IL-12, termed as IL12A (NP_000873.2) (Met 1-Ser 219) fused to a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, constructed the plasmid 1, and from a DNA sequence encoding the p40 subunit of human IL-12, termed as IL12B (NP_002178.2) (Met 1-Ser 328) fused to a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, constructed the plasmid 2. The two plasmids were co-expressed and the heterodimer was purified.

Activity: Measured by its ability to bind biotinylated recombinant human IL12RB1 in a functional ELISA.

Formulation: Lyophilized in 140 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl, 10 mM Na2HPO4, 1.8 mM KH2PO4, pH7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, 0.02% Tween80.

Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 25 µg/µl or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Expiration Date: Expires one year from date of receipt when stored as instructed.
