Interleukin 1, beta (IL1B), a recombinant human protein, is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in protein studies such as protein structure analysis and protein-protein interactions. In general, recombinant proteins can also be used as immunogens, protein standards, and in other cell biology research applications.

This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the mature form of human IL1B (NP_000567.1) (Ala 117-Ser 269).

Activity:
1.Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA.
a. Immobilized recombinant human IL1B at 2 µg/ml (100 µl/well) can bind recombinant human IL1R2 with a linear range of 6.25-400 ng/ml.
b. Immobilized human IL1B at 10 µg/ml (100 µl/well) can bind human IL1R1, The EC50 of human IL1R1 is 0.48 µg/ml.
2. Measured in a cell proliferation assay using D10.G4.1 mouse helper T cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.5-5 pg/ml.

Formulation: Lyophilized in 140 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl, 10 mM Na2HPO4, 1.8 mM KH2PO4, pH 7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, 0.02% Tween-80.

Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 25 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Expiration Date: Expires one year from date of receipt when stored as instructed.

This protein is manufactured by SINO Biological.
