Absent In Melanoma 2 (AIM2), recombinant human protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in analysis of protein structure, and performing cell based assays. It can also be used as an immunogen, as a protein standard, or in other research applications

This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the human AIM2 (NP_004824.1) (Met 1-Thr 343) fused to the GST tag at the N-terminus.

Activity: Measured by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of MCF7 human breast adenocarcinoma cells (Karey, K.P. et al. (1988) Cancer Research 48:4083). The ED₅₀ for this effect is typically 4-7 µg/ml.

Formulation: Lyophilized in 50 mM Tris, 1M NaCL, 0.5 mM PMSF, 5 mM GSH, pH 8.0, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, 0.02% Tween 80.

Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 25 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Expiration Date: Expires one year from date of receipt when stored as instructed.
