• Superior lot-to-lot consistency
• Extremely high specificity and sensitivity
• Recombinant human biotinylated Fab
• Specific for KDM2A

KDM2A (lysine (K)-specific demethylase 2A) is a histone demethylase that preferentially demethylates dimethylated histone H3 at lysine-36; while it has weak or no activity for mono- and tri-methylated H3 at lysine-36. Hence, KDM2A plays a central role in the histone code. KDM2A may also recognize and bind to some phosphorylated proteins and promote their ubiquitination and degradation. It is required to maintain the heterochromatic state and is required to sustain centromeric integrity and genomic stability, particularly during mitosis. Since KDM2A is associates with centromeres, it represses transcription of small non-coding RNAs, which are encoded by the clusters of satellite repeats at the centromere.
