Specific for IL9

Interleukin 9, also known as cytokine P40 or T-cell growth factor P40 is a cytokine that regulates a variety of hematopoietic cells. It supports IL2 independent and IL4 independent growth of helper T-cells. It also brings about positive regulation of cell proliferation and prevents apoptosis. It functions through the interleukin 9 receptor (IL9R), which activates different signal transducer and activator (STAT) proteins and thus connects this cytokine to various biological processes.
