PARP14 (poly (ADP ribose) polymerase family, member 14) belongs to the PARP protein family, which is also known as the B aggressive lymphoma proteins. PARP14 has ADP-ribosyltransferase activity. In general, poly ADP ribosylation is a DNA damage dependent post translational modification that rescues injured cells. Poly ADP ribosylation plays important role in gene expression through transcription regulation and interacts with STAT6 and enhances STAT6 dependent transcription.
