Fibroblast growth factor 1 (FGF1/aFGF), recombinant mouse protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in performing cell based assays. It can also be used as a protein standard or in other research applications.

This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the mature form (Phe 16-Asp 155) of mouse FGF1 (NP_034327.1).

Activity: Measured in a cell proliferation assay using BALB/c 3T3 mouse fibroblasts. The ED₅₀ for this effect is typically 0.05-0.25 ng/mL in the presence of 10 µg/ml heparin.

Formulation: Lyophilized in 20 mM MES buffer, pH 6.0, 200 mM NaCl, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, and 0.02% Tween-80.

Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 25 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Expiration Date: Expires one year from date of receipt when stored as instructed.
