Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1A (TNFRSF1A/CD120a), recombinant human protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in studying protein-protein interactions, performing enzymatic assays, and cell biology research applications. It can also be used as a protein standard.

This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Thr 211) of human TNFRSF1A (NP_001056.1) fused to the polyhistidine-tagged Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus.

Activity: Measured by its ability to inhibit the TNF mediated cytotoxicity in the L-929 mouse fibrosarcoma cells in the presence of the metabolic inhibitor actinomycin D. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.5-2 ng/mlin the presence of 0.25 ng/mlrecombinant human TNF.

Formulation: Lyophilized in PBS, pH 7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, and 0.02% Tween 80.

Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 0.2 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Expiration Date: Expires one year from date of receipt when stored as instructed.
