The new Ion PGM™ Sequencing 400 Kit is an integral component of the Personal Genome Machine™ sequencing platform and single-day sequencing workflow, designed to sequence templated Ion Sphere™ particles deposited in Ion 314™ Chip v2, Ion 316™ Chip v2, and Ion 318™ Chip v2. This sequencing kit should be used in conjunction with Ion OneTouch™ 2 template preparation.

The Ion PGM™ Sequencing 400 Kit provides you with:

• Simple and natural sequencing chemistry
• Low-cost standard reagents for lower cost per sample
• Sequencing read lengths of 400 base pairs with short run times (up to 8.5 hours)
• Support for Ion 314™ Chip v2, Ion 316™ Chip v2, and Ion 318™ Chip v2
• Support for multiplexed samples

The new Ion PGM™ Sequencing 400 Kit provides sequencing reagents for 400 bp run configurations for high throughput semiconductor-based sequencing of DNA- and RNA-based libraries. This new kit supports the Ion 314™ Chip v2, Ion 316™ Chip v2, and Ion 318™ Chip v2 and provides high accuracy and longer mean read lengths. This economically priced kit provides lower sample preparation costs, bringing next generation sequencing to every lab.

The Ion PGM™ Sequencing 400 Kit contains sufficient reagents for four 400 bp sequencing reactions using the Ion PGM™ System. Kit components include sequencing supplies, enzymes, nucleotides, spike-in sequencing controls, and sequencing reagents.

Note:
The Ion PGM™ Sequencing 400 Kit is for use with the Ion 314™ Chip Kit v2, Ion 316™ Chip v2, and Ion 318™ Chip v2.
This kit should be used with the Ion PGM™ Template OT2 400 Kit.
Old kits should not be mixed with new kits.
