Cluster of Differentiation 4 (CD4), recombinant ferret protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in analysis of protein structure, and cell biology research applications. It can also be used as an immunogen, or as a protein standard.

This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Leu 401) of Ferret (Mustela putorius furo) CD4 (ABS50090.1) fused to a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

Activity: Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cells . When 5 x 104 cells/well are added to CD4 coated plates (2.5 µg/mland 100 µl/well), approximately 40%-60% will adhere specifically after 60 minutes at 37°C.

Formulation: Lyophilized in PBS, pH 7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, and 0.02% Tween 80.

Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 0.2 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Expiration Date: Expires one year from date of receipt when stored as instructed.
