This mouse anti-Luciferase monoclonal antibody is specific to mouse Luciferase protein. Luciferase is a 61 kD enzyme that catalyzes the reaction of luciferin to generate light after its activation by ATP and oxidative decarboxylation Validated applications for Luciferase monoclonal antibody are Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry (frozen tissue).

Applications: validated Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry (frozen tissue)
Host species and isotype: mouse IgG1
Clone ID of monoclonal antibody (mAb): CS 17
Reactivity: purified Luciferase in mouse heart, liver, kidney and cortex tissues
Product size: 100 µg pack size

The antibody is derived from luciferase of the North American firefly (Photinus pyralis). Luciferase is a 61 kD enzyme that catalyzes the reaction of luciferin to generate light after its activation by ATP and oxidative decarboxylation. When expressed in mammalian cells, luciferase molecules produce luminescence in direct proportion to their number in the presence of luceferin and ATP. In this respect, Luciferase is commonly used as a promoter to quantify expression levels from promoters in tissue culture and in vivo.
