pTEF1/Zeo is a 3.6 kb vector designed to allow you to create your own cloning and/or expression vectors that confer resistance to Zeocin™ in both E. coli and yeast strains. The vector contains the Sh ble Zeocin™ resistance gene driven by the Saccharomyces cerevisiae TEF1 promoter for selection in any yeast. In addition, the synthetic EM-7 bacterial promoter is present for selection in E. coli. Several unique restriction sites flank the ZeoCassette™ region to allow easy subcloning of the region or cloning of additional elements into pTEF1/Zeo. This vector is also useful for generating gene disruptions in yeast.
