POP-6™ is a DNA sequencing and fragment analysis reagent and consumable. It is a separation matrix for performing fragment analysis and sequencing on the 3100 Genetic Analyzer and 3100-Avant™ Genetic Analyzer. The POP-6™ Polymer is ideally suited for standard and rapid sequencing.

Many Choices
For the ABI PRISM® 310 and 3100 Genetic Analyzers, POP-4® polymers are designed for microsatellite and other genotyping applications, while POP-6™ polymers are the choice for standard and rapid sequencing. For the ABI PRISM® 3700 DNA Analyzer, POP-5™ polymer is the separation matrix of choice for high-throughput DNA sequencing, while POP-6™ polymer is designed for genotyping applications.

New Bottle Material
Our POP4™ and polymer POP6™ polymer bottles for use on the 3100 will now be comprised of the same material used for polymer bottles for the 3130. The new bottles will resemble the current bottles in shape, color, form, and function. We have conducted extensive internal testing using the new bottles, and are confident that the new material will consistently provide the highest quality product.
